Stuff I Want to Make

I have a list a mile long of stuff I want to make.  I've had fabric for 2 new play tents sitting in my studio for months.  Months.  I want to make toddlers purses, totes, skirts, pillow cases and more.  And I really want to figure out how to use my new serger.  Yeah, I have a serger now...no biggie.  Oh, do you need that serged?  I could totally do that...because you know, I have one...a serger that is.  Here's the thing...I have fabric, thread, and machines...I have all the stuff.  What I don't have is the time.  Blessed time.  So for right now projects will have to wait.  Sigh.

However,  I thought I should post this little scarf project from Kelli over at Presser Foot, because while I may not have the time to make it...someone should.  Seriously it's super easy and just look at the results.  Look at them!  That is one beautiful scarf.  Christmas present perhaps?  Anyway, get the how-to here.  (She actually goes on to dye it teal, but I like it better pre-dye bath).

  1. I so wish I could have your girls over for a play date so you could sew till your hearts content. I think my kids would have so much fun! I love those scarves. They always photograph so well.

  2. oh honey, i'm on it! i've been on a sewing kick this week, nothing fancy schmancy that would require a serger...or really any actual knowledge of sewing, but you know, little by little i'm learning. however, edges and three vertical lines? i might be able to handle that. thanks for the suggestion!

  3. Aw thanks guys...I love that you two answered first...I still think back to our awesome Boston trip and the amazing time I had with you ladies. Warms my heart.. And Amberli you should totally make that scarf...it uses elastic thread in the bobbin, but it's easy to work with and I think you'd dig it.
