Got Apps?

Hi friends.  Being new to the world of ipads and apps I was hoping you could give me some suggestions for your very favorite can't-live-without apps.  I'm pretty much open to anything and would particularly love to hear about good apps for the toddler (any apps that discipline by chance?) ...although I also want some good apps for the mommy.   They can be fun, interesting or just plain handy.  (I already have the scriptures and other lds sites FYI...)

Thanks!

  1. Don't have an iPad, but here are the ones I love for my iPhone (a lot of them are games and most are free): Words with Friends, Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Mint.com, Instapaper, TripIt, Flood It, Bejeweled, Amazon, iStake, mSecure.

    Have fun!

  2. My 4 year old loves, "Make me a Princess". I just have the free one. Balloonimals is a favorite too and it was very worth it to buy it, not just get the free one.

My boys love "Fruit Ninja" and I have wasted many hours with Angry Birds. Crayon Physics is also a fun one for me and my 9 and 11 year olds too.

  3. Ryan has spent many a night with Angry Birds. There's a good drawing pad app, too. I think it's a little pricey--$3 or 4, but it's pretty cool. Ella loves Balloonimals, also. I saw a girl at church doing a puzzle that looked like a good one.

The Kindle app convinced Ryan to read books again. You can get most of the classics for free.

The Night Sky one is pretty cool, too.

  4. I think I will hang out in your comment section today and learn what apps are. I have an IPOD, and I know what an IPAD is, but apps...I will learn about today!

  8. Violet LOVES the Dr. Seuss book apps. We have The Cat in the Hat and The Lorax. They have an auto play feature which is great for follow along or reading out loud. Also you can touch any object, person, etc... And it will say out loud the name of said thing as well as spell it.
