I Love Lamp

Beanie is trying to wink in this photo...and I think this is also the first official belly shot on the blog.  I'm not loving it.

I Love Lamp.

These shirts kind of make me want to smile, laugh and cry all at the same time.  We love Lamp...

So about a week ago my friend Julianne from NYC emailed me and informed me about a company, Snogtee's that makes I Love Lamp t-shirts.  I just about died.  What?  How crazy and random and ... perfect is that?  I immediately knew I had to have these for our family.  I went online to order them...but there was a slight snag.  They didn't make this particular style in a children's size.  So I wrote a letter.  I told Snorgtee's about our family, about a baby named Lamp who had all sorts of problems in store for her, but a family who loved her nonetheless.  I told them what a perfect and uplifting thing this would be for our family.  But I had a favor to ask...would they, could they possibly make a custom child's size shirt for our daughter?  After all, she's the genius behind the Lamp moniker.  Not only did Snorgtee's agree to make the shirt, they also sent both adult shirts for free.  For our family.  I was touched.  The customer service manager was particularly helpful and kind.  Not only did she set this up for us and make it happen, she even offered to send a gift to Beanie, even though she's got a lot on her own plate right now {we've sort of become blog buddes}.  A huge thanks to everyone at Snorgtee's, especially Sarah.  These t-shirts not only symbolize our family's collective love for Lamp, but also the kindness of strangers and a t-shirt company willing to grant us a little wish.  I know we'll treasure these t-shirts especially in the upcoming months, but definitely for years to come.  Just another wonderful and timely message for our family... I Love Lamp.

  16. Once again I've gotten too far behind to write to everyone...but thanks. It really was such a happy little moment. I don't know that I mentioned it, but I surprised B and Beanie with these shirts, so it was double the fun. Anyway, thanks for all the good vibes.

  18. This is the most darling thing ever. I actually just saw that movie for the first time last weekend, Anchorman and I remember that part exactly! But I didn't make that connection at all. Is this like, something people say, have you ever heard it in conversation?

What a great company to make one for the bean!

  20. This is a wonderful story! I bet those people who made the T-shirts feel so warm and fuzzy that they were able to help someone out like that! (I wonder what made them make those I Love Lamp shirts in the first place? So random!)

    What a tender mercy.

Cute story! I wonder if they got the idea to make shirts with this saying because of this?
