Is there a Doctor in the Hizz-ouse?!?

He did it. My man is now a Doctor. I'm so proud of all his hard work over the last 4 years. As a wife, you always hope those long hours away from home are paying off...well they did. And we couldn't be more proud. The ceremony was even more special since B's parents and sisters flew out for the occasion. Since his dad is a dentist as well he got to "hood" him at the graduation ceremony {of course the video camera battery died just then and we forgot our camera battery--but someone got it on film}.

The awards ceremony the night after the main graduation.
I'm pretty sure Beanie thought they were clapping for her.

It's amazing to think that our whole purpose and reason for being in New York is now over. We had such a great time and made so many good friends during our time here, I almost forgot we would have never been here to begin with if it hadn't been for my husband's schooling.

We are in full packing mode. The truck gets packed up tomorrow and we don't leave for a few more days. How in the world did 4 years pass by? As I went running yesterday {possibly for the last time in the lovely city I still call home} I was saying good bye to all my favorite neighborhood places along the way. It was sort of a George Baily running through Bedford falls moment... Good-bye janky J. Hoodwright playground! Good-bye George Washington Bridge! Good-bye crazy bus drivers about to run me over! Good-bye beautiful Ft. Tryon Park! Good-bye poop all over the side walks from dog owners who never get ticketed for not cleaning up said dog poop! Good-bye friends!

Good-Bye New York! Good-Bye! Mwah! Mwah!

  2. That big toothbrush is hilarious. Good job, B! It's weird that there's life after school, isn't it? It's a bit of a reality check, but it's really nice. I know you'll miss NY, but it will always be a special place you can visit. Good luck with move Miggy. Wish I were there to help you...not!

(not that I love you any less)
