Party Re-Cap

Here are some pictures from Beanie's birthday bash {since we were limited on space we kept it to a few close friends in the neighborhood}.  I do not claim to be any sort of party expert, but I've learned a thing or two from the other design/mom blogs that always throw such great parties and I think it turned out well.  Our party theme was Elephants!  {Cute story--if you look closely at the first picture you'll see Beanie's plastic elephant on the middle of the table.  B told me that when she woke up that morning and saw all the elephant decorations, she ran into her room grabbed her elephant and set it right down on the table!  What an eye for design.}

Also, since toddlers aren't really at an age where you can plan games we just had a couple different activity centers set up so to facilitate a party atmosphere.  In the bedroom we put strips of butcher paper on the floor for the kids to color on.  In the living room we hung balloons from the ceiling and played music--it was their disco room.  It worked really well to have some activity centers set up, and let them play and roam at will.

{And just to be clear, I didn't design the elephant graphic myself--it's taken from an image I found on etsy.}

The spread.

Overall it was a hit!  Thanks to everyone who came and made it a special day for Beanie.

  1. The balloon idea is genius! I love it! And Beanie with her cute crown is priceless. It is a great idea to just let the kids do what they want, because they will anyway. Good job on all the cute details Migs!

  8. Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback. You never know what you're going to get when you have 7 toddlers in your house, but I have to say everything went really well {despite the birthday girl taking a tumble and landing on her head...figures}.

    The crown is something my mom sent me a few years ago and I've just hung on to it.
