The Quilt

It's done. The never-ending quilt is done. Here are a couple pics...

I like it. It turned out how I envisioned....BUT in the end this was way too much work for a small quilt I merely like. The piecing took a lot longer than planned and I think I'm going to nix the hand-quilting for a while and try one on the machine. A baby quilt should work nicely on my regular sewing machine.

  1. nice! it will be an heirloom piece and passed down forever, so thankfully there's a little reciprocity for the toil. =)

  7. Seriously, you are so creative and talented. I love the quilt. BTW, I meant to tell you that I saw some cute infant dresses that I thought you might like - they're very unique. The website is shabbyapple.com then click on shabby baby.

  8. I love the quilt. I'm working on right now for my mom. Is yours a variation of the log cabin pattern? That's the pattern I'm using.

  9. Mojo--yeah, basically. The thing that made this quilt "easy" is that there was no pattern. I just cut strips of cloth in different widths and then sewed them together randomly. I just made sure that each individual square was the same size in the end. Good luck--post a pick when you finish.
