Happy Halloween!

Here's a little blast from the past, but I just had to post my favorite Halloween costume ever. This was back in the days when I was a single working girl. I worked for a great company filled with great people and our department in particular was . . . great. (great, great, great . . . the more I say it the weirder it sounds. . . great. . . ah, but I digress.) As you can tell (hopefully) we went as the gang from Scooby Doo. It's not just that we had the perfect amount of people, but that we had the perfect people for each character.

Britty was our cute and spunky red head and fit Daphne to a tee. I of course, fit the Velma look pretty well, you know nerdy but in a really hip and cool way. Obviously. E. Sag's, our benevolent leader, was the perfect Shaggy since he rocked the goatee year round and just had that 'shaggy' look to him. Cort had the tall, blonde Fred thing going for him, and that left Foo to be Scooby, but even that was perfect since he had those big, blue puppy dog eyes. Anyway, it was a big hit. We had a really fun time and we were really the first department to ever get a group costume together. Every year after that group costumes kinda became all the rage. (I'm speaking for my office here, not for Halloween in general). Some of the group costumes were pretty cool I guess, but really. . . we set the bar pretty high and I'm not sure it was ever really exceeded. Even our department tried to come up with clever costumes the following years, but nothing ever quite lived up to our Scooby Doo days.

Stay tuned for pictures of our little stinker in her costume tomorrow!

  1. Nothing ever did live up to that one. You guys looked awesome!!

  2. Ah, yessss...those were the days. I have to agree with you. I remember when YOU came up with the idea. It was like, "Ta-da!" So perfect, we couldn't believe it. I was just looking at a picture of this recently, too. I'm glad you posted this - it made me happy.

  3. Apparently I wasn't the only one having ah-ha flashbacks for Halloween.
Those costumes did rock. I totally remember. Great.

  4. It's currently 11:30am PT, I'm anxiously awaiting Halloween pictures of the little darling.

  5. That had to be the best group costume ever. I haven't seen that picture in a long time. You guys were awesome.
