Best Plane Ride Ever

We flew home yesterday. Our flight was full. Every single seat was filled. EVERY SINGLE SEAT. (pause) Except one. The seat next to us. We asked the flight attendant if everyone has boarded. She says yes and tells us we lucked out. I then ask if our car seat is still outside the plane*. She says she'll check. She comes back with car seat in hand. No way, no way, no way. . . this is rad. We strap baby in her car seat. Once in the air, she sleeps almost 3 hours of a 4 1/2 hour flight. Holy Awesome. Best. Flight. Ever. Not only did I get to finish the last 2 episodes of The Office season 3 (yay Jim!) but I also got to watch E! True Hollywood story: Hulk Hogan. I don't know what we did to deserve that (my visiting teaching finally?), but thank you. THANK YOU.

*for those of you who don't know, you leave your car seat/stroller/whathaveyou out side the plane doors and they come and grab it and load in into the luggage area once you've boarded. Also, you can buy a seat for your baby or just keep the baby on your lap for free. If the flight is not full you can use the extra seat for your baby. Our baby, like most babies, sleeps way better in her car seat than on mom and dads lap . . . thus scoring an extra seat is a BIG. DEAL.

  1. welcome home! that is mind blowingly awesome. I think the take home lesson here is that Heavenly Father wants us to be able to wath E True Hollywood Story. Or that Hulk Hogan wants us to do our visiting teaching. I'm not sure which.

  3. Andrea--you hit the nail on the head. If you want me to do a VT moment on Hulk Hogan I'd be happy to.

Julia--Yes I DID deserve that. How are you by the way? We should have a craft night one of these nights.

  6. I can only WISH that will happen to us... after our flights to LA last week, my arm felt DEAD from holding ella for the entire stinkin' day! A sleeping baby is very very heavy.
