A Little Pick-me-up

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought I would post it here as well. It's from the TV show Britain's Got Talent and I found it rather inspiring. Apparently he went on to win the competition (not to spoil it or anything). Enjoy.

*Ok am I the only one whose heart strings get pulled by this clip? I seriously can't stop watching it. I'm a sucker for the underdog story. Go Paul Potts!

  3. I just watched it again. I know, I know...

I just love the apprehension on the judges and audiences faces and then the softening and then the respect...

I am so happy to hear he won. He is so sweet and humble. I hope he stays that way.

  5. Oh good! I'm glad I'm not the only one who just loves that stuff. I agree Tiff, I love the apprehension of the judges and even the look on his face when he tells them he's going to sing opera. . . he sorta seems unsure of himself. And then when the audience bursts into applause. . . it slays me.

The link didn't copy all the way. . .

  6. Oh another thing. . . so I was watching other clips of him preforming and they have more footage of him being interviewed (this is the semifinals if you want to watch it) and he talks about always feeling different and being bullied in school, which is why he thinks he has such a hard time with self confidence. . . and he says "I've always felt insignificant. But after that first audition, I knew I WAS somebody. I'm Paul Potts." And it's just so great! It's like he figures out "Hey I am somebody . . . and it was me all along."

Tiff send me more video clips and please send that article!

  9. I think if you highlight that link and copy it, even though it didn't post all the way, it will paste into the address bar in whole. It does on mine anyway. Let me know if it doesn't.

Or you can google washington post joshua bell metro (or something like that).

I hope I saved your email address...

  13. That was great. If I want to cry all day, I listen to Pavorotti singing this at the original 3 Tenors concert. I highly recommend renting the DVD.
