Secret Weapon

My favorite secret weapon to use on a fussy 9 week old monkey is to turn on some music and start dancing with her. This is only used as a last resort (I don't want her associating dancing with crying now do I?). What is her favorite song to calm down to, you ask? Leather and Lace by Stevie Nicks, featuring Don Henley. I know, interesting choice but she loves it. Her runner up favorites are songs by Rogue Wave and My Morning Jacket . . . I'm glad she's got good taste in music so far.

  1. That is adorable. Sofia likes Gwens "Sweet Escape." My secret weapon is opening the front door. She is crying nonstop, I walk to the door, open it, let her look down the hallway, she stops, smiles, and we go back inside. Weirdo.

  2. Josie's favorite songs when she hated the car were Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" and Smashing Pumpkin's "Starlight."

Interesting: Some of these are from the UK. I have found that most information on the internet from the UK is good, well-thought out, makes sense. UNlike some American stuff.

  3. OK this is probably slightly embarrassing to admit, but Ava loved 'It's getting hot in here' by Nelly. She still adores hip hop music; it's quite funny.
