To Procreate or Not to Procreate . . .

Here are some reasons it's good (or nice?) to be pregnant:

1. The nice couple on the full flight home traded me their aisle seat for my window seat.

2. I have not found flight attendants to be particularly cheery lately, however today while passing out little bags of pretzels one flight attendant smiled and said, "Here--you get two." Five seconds later another flight attendant said, "Let me know if I can get you anything sweetie." Thanks ladies.

3. People offer up their seat on the subway. Seriously.

4. Rosa, our door lady, who didn't care for me at all is now my new best friend and is always anxious for baby/belly updates.

And here are some reasons being pregnant isn't as cool:

1. I have to go to the bathroom everytime my bladder has accumulated 1.2 oz of liquid. (Which, as it turns out, is about every 15-20 minutes).

2. I wear the same jeans at least 5 times a week.

3. Sleeping. It's just harder.

4. Tying my shoes and putting my pants on takes a lot more effort (and I look a lot more stupid in the process).

Just some FYI's in case anyone was contemplating getting prego . . .

  1. Hi Gueck,
Thanks for the info, as I am certainly contemplating joining the motherhood. I'm so happy for you and Bracken, and look forward to your stories! I miss you tons, and can't wait to hear more about the journey.
    Luv, M

  2. May I recommend one of these?

The jeans thing sucks seriously, yo.

  3. Missa! You'll never believe who I saw in the airport yesterday. . . Jenna Gillard. We were in line getting food and chatted. It was great. I didn't tell her how great she looked . . . she looked really good. Anywho, I miss you too. We need to talk soon. . . I want to hear all about your adventures in married land so far. . .

C--that pillow looks delicious. I may need to invest.

I'm pretty sure that for my second pregnancy, I pulled out all my maternity clothes and cried and went and bought new ones. I just couldn't handle them, and I thought a 2 year separation would be fine.

    BTW, Grats Gueck.

  5. All right...You've convinced me Amy...pregnant is the way to go. I am going to go out and practice getting pregnant right now.

  6. I dare you.

(Then you can just tell your biship "Well, I had to. . . it was a dare.")
