The 'Mallow

When I go into fancy grocery stores I always see fancy marshmallows like the ones pictured above. For some reason I'm really drawn to fluffy, giant blocks of marshmallow. However, would I pay $18.50 for a box of marshmallows? Nope. But I would make them myself. (And I have, twice now.) It's a great treat for the up coming chilly winter months and people will think you're FANCY (and rich). Get the recipe here and make them yourself.

*Tip--there are some variations of this recipe on Martha's site and one thing I would encourage you to do is use a smaller, more square baking dish to be able to cut them up in bigger, fluffier chunks. Using a flat jelly roll pan will make thinner, flatter 'mallows . . . still good, but like, what's the point?

  1. I too love a homemade marshmallow. We should have a little party and make a batch.

    Love your blog.

  2. I actually just made a big 'ol batch. . . so I should just bring you some! But since I used a jelly roll pan they're more flat-ish. . .
